From Kitchen Table to Creative Sanctuary: My Jewelry Journey

Hi! I’m Angie. I have a messy work desk full of charms, chains, metal files, industrial glues, glass beads, bones, pliers of various sizes, and a restless need to create things.

I’ve been doing this for a few years now. Started with a kitchen table and a basic idea of how to do things, from making my own weird bits of jewelry since school. No one was more surprised than I was when I actually made sales. Within a year I’d even hesitantly call it a success.

I’ve invested a lot of that right back into the business. I have a little workroom now where I surround myself with all the strange things that inspire me. It’s like a museum of my mind. It’s a bit maximalist, thankfully less terrifying.

This is my sole source of income, and after being unable to handle a more conventional job due to both mental and physical health issues, it’s been a great source of self esteem and stability to make my own way again. I’m finally in a position to help other people again as well as myself, which is incredibly important to me.

Anyway, I just want to say I’m grateful to everyone who has ordered from my online shop or shopped with me at punk markets, horror conventions, the roller derby, pride parades and all manner of places. You’re the reason I get to do something creative and still have a little cave to retreat to with my family of adopted cats. We thank you, and I hope my creations bring you joy, and make you feel beautiful. Because you are beautiful.
